Checkered Flag Ball

On the evening of Saturday, October 2, 2021, The Checkered Flag Ball will be the social event for Southeast Michigan and the American Speed Festival  /  M1 Concourse.

The Checkered Flag Ball is the inaugural event of the Checkered Flag Challenge Foundation. The Ball honors Master of Motorsport Jim Hall, who changed racing history with his Chaparral race cars. Join us for an exclusive evening of dinner, drinks, live music, and special guest appearances.

Master of ceremonies is none other than star driver and network broadcast personality David Hobbs. Hobbs career as an international racing driver spanned 30 years at all levels including sports carstouring carsIndy carsIMSACan-Am and Formula One. He has participated in the Indianapolis 500 and the 24 Hours of Daytona. He made twenty starts in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race.

Held at the all-new Event Center at M1 Concourse, the 2021 Checkered Flag Ball will benefit the Checkered Flag Challenge, a 501(c)(3) supporting charitable organizations changing lives in the City of Pontiac.

Attire is festive black and white – racing suits optional!  We invite you to be a part of the collective celebration of the motorsport community's vibrancy, along with supporting the needs of the diverse local community.
